The #p/g! Tour
Pittsburgh Leg

Among those in attendance: Slythex, Jvi, AnalogKid, Snow-Dog, Juno/rivendell, Rocinante, The Voice of Silence, Rrang, Brangwen, catwoman1, the rush-mgr, Zappette (Madrigal), Broonsie and probably a host of others I've forgotten about. If I forgot you, drop me a line and let me know so I'll add you to this illustrious list :-)

Supposedly bblade was in Pittsburgh, but somehow didn't make it to the party. Hey bblade! Where were you?

The event culminated with a great party hosted by our very own Slythex (John Santore), who along with Snow-Dog (Jamie Buckley) were able to snag front and third row seats for the #p/g! crew. Yes that was us down in front along Geddy's side bouncing around, screaming, yelling, bowing to Alex and generally having an incredible time. For those who were curious, yes some of us had our NMS shirts on, and yes those flames were hot!

Pictures Scanned from the Video

Yes, Rrang brought his video camera and shot a lot of crappy footage. Here's some early annoying shots taken off the video. They look poor, but what do you want for nothing? These are since cleaned up quite a bit from when they first appeared though, so if you liked these before you'll love them now!

For the technically minded, these were grabbed using a Matrox MVP-AT/NP framegrabber board. Matrox make a very nice family of video products. I highly reccommend them... now send me some free stuff Matrox!

Rrang's Photographs

Yep, thanks to a tactical error on my part, Rrang had dead batteries for most of the week. Once he finally got some (damned weird little jerky batteries why can't Pentax use AAA's like everyone else...) he managed to take some fairly standard pictures of the #p/g! group at Slythex's apartment. Rrang's Annoying Personal Comment

I'd like to give a big hand to the #p/g! crew in Pittsburgh for putting up with me for a week. Especially to John Santore (Slythex) for giving me a place to stay, getting me great tickets, and generally being an all around great guy. This wouldn't have happened without his effort. Also a big thanks to Mike Weintraub (Jvi) for (a) saving me $100 in hotel costs and (b) being the X-cellent navigator dude.

If you get the chance to go see Rush, Do It!!! They're pretty good, eh.

Also a big thanks to Cygnus Technology for letting me come over and use some of their multimedia setup to scan my photographs. Also, I'd also like to give a brief nod to the Ozric Tentacles whom I had the good fortune to see (along with Slythex, Jvi, The Voice Of Silence, and catwoman1) in Cleveland Ohio. Incredible light show. Strange opening act called Ultra Vision. Bizarre crowd.
